I'm back with my Adaptive problem.
To sum up, if I use adaptive mode & dynamic mode in the BIOS, and my VCore is set at anything BELOW 1.200V, the MB automatically applies 1.200V.
Could someone PLEASE, test the settings i have in the following screenshots and post some screenshots in reply?
I have reported my "issue" to MSI Technical support and after a string of emails, here's the reply I got today (which I want to verify)
First, the purpose of adaptive mode is for power saving purposes.
1. Set CPU mode as adaptive mode, CPU ratio as 40 and CPU mode as dynamic mode.
2. Enter OS and check the voltage is about less than 1V at idle.
3. Run Burnin and check the voltage is to 1.2V.
4. Close Burnin and the voltage goes back to less than 1V at idle.
Within turbo ratio, BIOS will follow up Intel’s voltage SPEC.
In this case of 4770K, you will need to try ratio less than 39.
CPU voltage will be according to Intel VID, instead of what value is in.
When the ratio is set over Intel’s turbo ratio, BIOS will add the voltage to 1.2 for stability of system.
Then it will dynamic move based on its loading under OS.
