No, With override.

4.2GHZ with 1.225V is the value of OC GENIE GEAR 2. (started from that to overclock the CPU)

4.3GHZ stable with 1.31/1.32V. (less than 1.31V with 4.3GHZ = BSOD within ~2hour on prime95.

All my issue happen with stock CPU or with overclocked CPU. (with ram set @1333MHZ SPD or XMP profile 1 / 2).

Maybe this is a bad overclocker cpu but it's 100% stable in every test or game, except the issue with IBT with TDR EVENT, freeze with sound loop and other things explain above.

There's definitely something wrong with the MB.

My GTX 780 on the first PCI-E 16X is now recognized as 2.0.

When i switch PEG0 to GEN3 in the uefi bios, my GTX 780 is set correctly to PCI-E 3.0 but my soundcard who is on the PCI-E 6 1X no longer working, lol.

Everything back to AUTO, both soundcard and GTX 780 working again but the PCI-E of the GC is set on 2.0.

Clear CMOS don't fix the issue but flash the bios again with 1.6 or 1.7B2 has fixed the issue.

I will return the board to amazon :/

I have installed the Maximus VI Extreme and all the issue are gone.

No more TDR ERROR even with more than 13000MB in IBT.

No more freeze and CPU is set to 4.6GHZ biggrin.gif

So this was definitely the MB the problem.

Anyone seen where the "adjust cpu frequency" is greyed out, tried several options but unable to change it. Any thoughts? (4770k)

Hello. This week I reached my max AC msi Z87 mpower a 4670k. my goal is a 4.2 or 4.3 OC, someone could put your settings screen with 4.2 or 4.3 OC. still do not quite understand the part of the voltages.

i RE'd your PM.  :)

**For CPU only OC.. you only need to change -> CPU vcore and CPU multi (cache voltages need tweaking for high OC)

For NB OC.. you need to increase Ring voltage and Ring multi

For RAM OC.. you need to change RAM voltage, as well as tweak I/O voltages based on RAM latency/mhz

Hey guys!

I recently purchased an MSI Z87 MPOWER Non-MAX, and came with bios 1.2. What is the best method to update the BIOS to 1.8?

I thought M-Flash directly from bios, and select options with ME Is OK?

Since I said that I have a new motherboard, will put some pictures of the complete system.

Nice boards! I love my Z77 MPOWER, I hope that MSI makes a mATX model for the next platform.
