Upgrading for 1st Gen to 4th Gen

Thread Starter
I would like some help on picking my new build. Please let me know what you think I should change and why.

My Plans:
Corsair Obsidian Series 350D
ASRock Z87M Extreme4
Intel Core i7-4770K
CORSAIR Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1866
CORSAIR CX750M PSU
Corsair Force Series GS 128GB or Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB
Western Digital Red 2TB
CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i
COUGAR CF-V12HB x3

The ones in bold I'm not sure if I should change for better, or less. I plan to overclock to about 4.5
And I plan to use my 7950 from the computer I have now.

Consider waiting for Ivybridge-E before buying anything. 2011 is the only way to get a significant performance increase from an i7 IMO. When Ivybridge-E drops the 3930k should get cheaper.

exactly what he said! wait for ivy-e? I think its out sometime between sept & nov?

however if you do want to go ahead & get haswell? for whatever reason? 6x sata6, thunderbolt & new instruction sets, etc etc

id say get the Samsung 840 pro SSD instead!

& id probably get a decent asus board instead?

Dont buy the Cosair CX750M first its not very good and second its way overkill for a system with one video card
