I realize there are gentle typhoons but $20 a pop is asking a lot I would think.

Yate Loons or Swiftech Helices are good options (>$10 each) thumb.gif

B-Gears makes amazing radiators fans for cheap. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11894/fan-779/BGears_B-Blaster_120mm_x_25mm_2000RPM_High_Speed_Fan.html?tl=g36c15s60

However you'll need a fan controller for quiet operation.

Then of course there's the phobya fans which are pretty nice.

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16098/fan-1002/Phobya_120mm_x_25mm_G-Silent_12_Black_Edition_-_1600_RPM_78352.html?tl=g36c15s60

Then there's the coolflow
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9300/fan-574/Cooler_Master_SickleFlow_R4_Series_120x25mm_Super_Silent_Fan_-_Dark_Smoke_-_R4-C2R-20AC-GP.html?tl=g36c15s60

But they don't have that great of airflow, however; they have amazing static pressure, which is always a major concern for radiator fans

Where do I get yate loons and which model? (120mm) Would they perform as good as the SP120s I already have but quieter?

I got all of the yate loons I have purchased from http://www.jab-tech.com/

I'd go with some Noctua NF-F12s though, I always said to myself they were too expensive (using Bing Rewards to build Amazon Credit led to their purchase) and I finally bought a pair and they work great on my H220.

Performance-pcs has slow, medium and high speed yate loons. I don't know if they will be as good as the Sp 120s since those are pretty good fans, but they should be comparable (within a few degrees). It also depends partly on your radiator fpi. You could always go high speed yate loons and hook them up to a fan controller if you have one. I have Bgears Blasters, cheap but can be kind of loud on full blast.

I mounted a PWM CM fan on my daughters rad and it is working well. Since it plugs into the cpu fan it ramps up or down based on temp and mostly stays silent. if your mobo has good fan controls you can set an upper limit.

I have a feeling that these recommendations don't offer as high a static pressure as these SP120s with a lower decibel rating. Does anyone know where I can get noctuas or gentle typhoons for cheap? Shipping on frozencpu is $10 thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Define "high static pressure"

Are we talking 2mmH2O? 4.5mmH2O? 35mmH2O?

3mm/H2O (which is what these sp120s have)
