Ips panel or 144hz??

okay, i have a benq xl2411t, which is 144hz, and i was wondering wether or not i should return it and get a eizo foris fs 2333-bk instead, which has an ips panel?
i have two gtx 780 btw.
What do you use it for? Obviously gaming but what type of games? I've thought about going over to an IPS panel myself but I primarily play fps games so I need the quickest response possible. Ips panels have slower response times than TN panels so 144hz is ideal for twitch games like fps's.

It really depends on what you're using it for if colour accuracy is important to you then go with the IPS panel. Sorry can you just return a panel because you feel you have made the wrong choice?

BENQ XL2411T supports LightBoost. Have you ever tried the LightBoost HOWTO? Some people love it, and some people don't. It gives you CRT quality motion, see PHOTOS: 60Hz vs 120Hz vs LightBoost. You do need 120fps@120Hz to gain the maximum benefit of LightBoost, however.

How can you decide that until you try it?

Personally I am not sure I can see the difference though - I mean I clearly see the difference in the photos from the guide - but not in gameplay, maybe I'm an idiot.

Keep in mind that high refresh rates are only beneficial if you can maintain a hhigh enough framerate. IPS however benefits you regardless of the framerate. It's just up to you as to whether you prefer image quality or speed. You can have both, but there's never any guarantee.

I haven't used an IPS panel, but switching from a 60hz panel to a 120hz panel (then to a GPU that could run at 120hz) was noticeable to me. FPS games just feel smoother. With RPGs/MMOs I really didn't care about the extra frames, and I haven't played any RTS on my panel. I would assume racing games would see a boost too, although I haven't played any. Hope this random conglomeration of non sense was in some way helpful.
