I wouldn't go *quite* that far as to say wallet warriors are the only ones that can go far fast, though you are not that far off. I think if you pick up the right two or three premiums, and a like number of Talismans, thats really all that you need to bother with. Don't bother with Tier IV Premium tanks/planes: not worth the price. Get a solid Tier III, whose BR is advantageous, and then when you get the right Tier IV, talisman it and one other. You'll blast through the ranks.

Since I prefer GF, the following applies to that only:

What I did was grind the old fashioned way through German AF and GF Tiers one through two: once I got the Do217 Bombers, I tali'd the both of them. In GF, I picked up the Panther D and the Jagdpanzer IV/70 V. Tali'd the both of them. The one premium I used was the Pz3N in the GF side (Though I got the PzAuf38t and Herman the Sherman to get into GF CBT). That got me all the way through TierIV in GF, and well into Tier IV in AF before they nerved the 75mm guns a little while back. Thats 4600 GE for the Tali's, and I forget how much for the Pz3N.

Figure 50 bucks will get you about that in two factions, which is more than ample to get you going good. If you want to Tali anything else German, Kugelblitz. That thing is a monster.

The trick is ignore Arcade: The best bang for buck and game enjoyment at the same time is either Sim or Realistic in my opinion. You can get more games, and perhaps a few more lions playing Arcade, but I believe that it isn't as fun. I prefer Realistic as you get a nice mix of easy mode arcade with some of the difficulty of Sim (Basically, you have to actually figure out what the range is if you want to hit something). The downside to *all* forms of GF play is you never make enough Lions once you get into high Tier III and Tier IV: not to mention Tier V. Thats what the Do217 E2 and E4 are for: Since you tali'd them, you are not going to make more lions from it, but, you will get a lot more RP, which will help get other planes for those times you want to play AF - which I recommend as a nice break from the GF grind, and you'll always make more in AF mode. Also, Once you max them, and you will do so with a quickness, they don't loose the RP gain to the same degree as any other plane. What you are gonna do with them is Base Rush in Arcade. Get that reload skill maxed fast. Once you do, they are a money making machine. Not *as* good as they was in pre 1.43/45, but you will average about 50-80k lions in any match where you can base rush.

I call it the pencil whip: As soon as you spawn, pitch up to 15-20 degrees, and dump your load. You are gonna start zooming upwards. Depending on the map and reload speed, you are going to dump two or three more times while still climbing. On most maps, you will get to about 6k+ when you drop your third or fourth load. Keep going till you are about 10s from reload. Pitch down, line up on the first base (Either the rightmost or left most, up to you), and look around. If you have fighters heading your way, pitch down to -20 to -25 degrees, and boom in. If not, stay level (You'll stay level as long as no one heads your way, once you do, do the following). You'll get over your target (Use free look, don't go into bombardier mode, you'll level out), and drop. As soon as you do, Zoom upwards, 30 or 40 degrees. You'll get most of the altitude back, and when you hit 10s till reload, level off, line up, and repeat on your next target (Once you have 1k bombs, you can kill a base in one pass). By this time one of two things is going to happen: Either there are no fighters near you, in which case you are either going to target base three, or make a run on the airfield and win the game in about 3-4 minutes more, or fighters have caught up to you. Try to get another load off, but don't stress it if you get whacked. Take out the next Do217. And repeat. In about 8 minutes game time, you should be able to zap 2-3 bases and the Airfield. And get the win. Large RP's, but most importantly, a large amount of Lions for 10 minutes of game time. Even if, even if, you get one of those pilots on the other side that clues in fast, worst case is you'll get one base, which will pay for both repair bills on your Do's even should you loose the match.

And there is one little thing more: If you find that during the night you are fundraising in Arcade, and you see a *lot* of bomber rushing, don't bother: the gain isn't as good unless you are still spading your bombers. Grab the best fighter you can, and get high and feed on those bombers, you'll get just as many rewards as base rushing, and you'll be the hunter, not the hunted. The matches will take longer, but meh.

Further upside to getting beef'd Do's is they are the *best* Air support option in the game in GF's realistic. Reasonably fast, the E4 has a nose gun and a nose turret equipped with 20mm cannons in both, so you can strafe or even go air to air with other slower attackers, and you have 3 bomb runs: the first of 2 1 Kilo bombs, and two more of one kilo each. Which means all you have to do is get reasonably close to a ground target.

Of course, since then I have spent more: but only to collect up the Premium Tanks, yeah... I could agree there might be better ways to spend money, but I am having fun, and thats all that counts.

Step 1: Purchase enough gold eagles to buy M46 Tiger.

Step 2: Club Russian tank drivers who couldn't spot a tank to save themselves

Has anybody manged to make LogitechGS switch profiles? I need to manually set LGS to use the WT profile whenever I play. I need custom button bindings and DPI's for WT.

And I only play Ground forces.

I have a G15 but haven't bothered with it, my Logitech mouse has buttons for DPI so that's how I do that

I am getting my DP cable today so will set up my 1440p 32 inch in the middle with two 24 inch 1920x1200 vertical on either side with the 1070 seahawk, I am hoping I can run max settings at least, but movie mode looks so much better that I might just go single 1440p if that's the case, we'll see thumb.gif

Anyone want to join a clan AOD is really chill, they accepted me right away and taught me EVERYTHING I needed to know, they didn't care about rank, planes unlocked or anything, they just have fun but also have serious games if you are into that against other clans

I mostly play Americans and have my 8.0 lineup set up with several upgrades unlocked, my next best is Russians where I am starting to build my 5.0/5.3 lineup

One HUGHE tip right now is go for ground targets, they are paying a TON, and getting a bomber with a HUGE bomb load is the absolute best way to unlock planes, just climb climb climb and go for bases and pillboxes, the B57's are hilariously awesome at that, but if you manage to get high enough early on a B29 then you will bring in serious rewards, drop your bombs to climb faster in arcade

A squad of 3 TU4's in RB is a very good way to farm RP and Lions. Especially if you talisman it. Talismaned mine, and researched the entire Russian Jet Line up in 5 days of playing, about 4 or 6 hours a day base/airfield bombing.

Talisman it as soon as you can: and get the 1500's: those are all you will need to hardcore grind. One will kill a base, and you can drop the rest on the airfield or other bases as you need. 25,000 RP a match is achievable, and fast.

wow... heheh, yea, the TU-4 is def THE best plane to get in WT... hahah

other planes I really want, ME-163, MIG-17, russian biplane with cannons heheheh, the 109 trop, FW U-2 (might be mixing up the german names since I only have 1.7 in germans)
