Nature doesn't "know" anything. It just executes.

The multi-universe concept always fascinated me, and many times I just overflow my primitive mind with questions like " if each universe is a copy of itself, and everything takes different paths in each one, from geology/cosmic stand point, to everything that is alive. Then the probability of us existing in most of them is so small, as everyone before me chose to do something different then what they did in this universe, making my chance of existing in the future( current present in other universes) almost impossible, but then the Infinity comes in, and the small chances now become impossibly grand.

Science is just trying to figure out what nature already knows.

I could care less about your opinion or anyone else's opinion of me or my thoughts on here.

Sure we have made progress like I said before but is it really exciting knowing that someones theory is either correct (1) or not correct (0) when nature already knows and has the answer and does the answer change anything? To me it does not.

This isn't a matter of opinion. This is a matter of fact, and let me show you where you are dead WRONG:

Current telescopes no longer use glass. They use mirrors, which can be made far larger than glass. There is a limit to how large we can make telescopes, especially the size that we can transport into space.

We receive less than 1 degree of light from extrasolar objects. That's like trying to look through a pinhole with a magnifying glass and discerning the features of a person's face 100 feet behind the pinhole. It simply can't be done with our current technology, we can't magnify things that much. If it were that easy for scientists to do, they would have done it already.

Why do we send probes to other planets within our own solar system? It's because we simply cannot see enough from where we are. We can't see what's on Earth-sized moons around Saturn and Jupiter, what makes you think we can see what's on Earth-sized planets around other stars?

Again, a theory IS NOT PROVEN CORRECT. THERE IS ONLY SUPPORT FOR A THEORY OR PROOF AGAINST A THEORY.

@ Mwarren and un-midas touch: I think if you looked at knowledge and the pursuit of information as an act of remembering I think both of you would realize something. Right now you are both just arguing semantics which will get you nowhere.

I'm starting to wonder if scientists are starting to just make stuff up to meet their quota.

What is this something you think I will realize? Otherwise I'd appreciate it if you left the mediation up to the mods.

The multiverse theory actually makes me quite happy. Because f there are an infinate number of me's in other universes then in at least one I am a NBA point guard who regularly goes home to have a 3 way with Hallie berry and Eva Green.

I suppose that was the concession I was trying to make as far as the idea of information goes (don't get me wrong I had to look it up first). In a way I find information a very elegant term, because if you look into something long enough, study it deeply enough and with enough open-mindedness (including oneself), I think it reveals that connection it has to everything else, past and otherwise. Because the information it has was formed by the action of it's existence upon it.

In a way the CMB is a memory of what this existence once was. Is that what you're saying?
