I want to upgrade my computer
AMD Phenom x4 9650
HD 3850 512mb
8gb ddr2
AM2+ socket mobo I believe, micro atx

What's a good upgrade for this computer? I want to game on it and the graphics card will be a 7770. I also want to use the stock case, I just want to know the perfect core components.

I'd say upgrade the motherboard to an AM3+, buy a good cooler , OC the proc to 4Ghz and buy a decent VGA card. BTW what is your budget

I agree somewhat. Our advice will vary depending on your preference to AMD or Intel, as well as your budget, in addition to your gaming resolutions.

I have an MSI Aspen 780g mobo with my Phenom x4, AM2+. I'm gonna update the bios I just want to know from you guys if I can use an AM3 cpu on my mobo.

This is the BIOS information I got from windows.

I don't really have a budget, but can i see multiple bundles so i can choose from?

I play at 1600x900, and I record aswell.

That is an awful motherboard. If you want to record while gaming at that resolution, get a new system based off of AM3+ 8350 or Intel i7 4770K processor. But I really can't help you unless you tell me your budget...

I'd say get the latest Richland combos when they hit. Watch out for deals as there could be some within the coming weeks. That is what i feel would be the best use of your money. Later on when you have funds, you could go hybrid CFX to get extra performance.
