Different market, they will still sell just fine, the same way people buy IPS monitors.

Well, more and more people are hopping on that bandwagon now, but for a while nobody but professionals were buying them, but they still sold.

It will be interesting.

I would buy the 39 4k for everyday web use and leave the other setup for gaming

I have said it multiple times. The 39 inch panel is really cheap:

http://www.revo-sys.com/v390dk1-ls1-cmi-39-3840x2160-industrial-lcd-panel.php

says $300 for 1000 panels.

And ignore the fact it says TN on that page. The V390DK1-LS1 is definitely S-MVA. I have the specsheet.

Industrial grade...
You can't give displays with more than 3 death or semideath pixels to consumers.
Maybe I should've scavenged around a bit more before ordering a tv as that is really cheap I would have like 400 to spend on the casing and driver and power -board but that is only if one would buy 1000 at a time.
Maybe something for a marketing genius

Hes running 1 or 2 Titans... I don't know how his rig could cost 8k. Even my Quad Titan rig with a 3930k watercooled with Blu Ray burners and RAID SSDs + ~8TB of storage didnt cost me that much.
