Quick Windows 8 question about Asus GPU Tweak - SOLVED

Thread Starter
I used the consumer preview a while back and I could not get Asus GPU Tweak to work. I'm going to give Windows 8 another shot while I do some benching between W7 and W8, but I need to keep CPU, RAM and GPU's speeds identical.

So anyways, can anyone confirm that Asus GPU Tweak works with Windows 8 now, and if possible, can you also enable the "Overclock range enhancement" option as well?

Not sure about the overclock range enhancement, but my display flickers a lot when Asus GPU Tweak is running. I use a 5770 if that matters. Just my 2cents.gif

Hmm, that doesn't sound good.

At least it worked tho, so I'll give it a shot. Thanks smile.gif

Windows 8 and overclocking are not entirely synonymous with each other yet.

you may want to ditch GPU tweak for straight MSI

Well, considering they're both software, why would switching make any difference? Considering I still need Asus GPU Tweak to extend the OC range, then use MSI to overclock.

Using two programs to accomplish what one program can do is kinda silly. Plus, I never had any luck with Afterburner anyways. tongue.gif

you dont actually "need" gpu tweak to OC and in my experience it doesn't seem to extend the range of AfterBurner anyway.

Its still two different methodologies just similar implementation, for example, windows 8 with nvidia worked best with GPU tweak however I find AfterBurner more than sufficient with AMD under the hood.

I installed Windows 8 Pro last night and I can confirm it does work and is fully functional now.

Problem solved. thumb.gif
