Thread Starter
I'm not sure if now is the best time to upgrade with all the USB3 sleep issues and everything... I fear that Haswell C1 revision motherboards will lose a lot of value on the market in the future due to the higher abundance of USB3 flash drives. How minor, or major, is the issue?

I live near a Microcenter so I would get a nice $345+tax price on a 4670k and UD4h.
I probably will also delid the cpu and go under water (custom loop) in the upcoming months.

C2 revision is rumored to come out sometime next month.. I can wait it out but is it worth it?

I wouldn't worry about the usb3.0 issue.. NO BODY uses usb 3.0 and if you really need to mobile " WORK " with HUGE data around, you'd use esata, which nearly all of these haswell boards have.

But if you're just carting around your favorite HD pr0n, usb2.0 will suffice. thumb.gif

Do you really want to buy bugged hardware?

Every motherboard has "SOME" bugs..

If the bug is in a feature that's useless... For example USB3.0, then I don't really weigh that against the board..

Many boards come with wifi for example,, and it's really ****ty wifi, but I don't care, because wifi gets 100+ ping vs 16ping on wired thumb.gif

In 5-6 more years, when EVERYTHING and their mother runs on USB3.0, I would care about it... but as is... so what?

IMO, just wait for the new revisions. You have a system now that can still work great when OC'ed biggrin.gif

How so? His CPU will be bottlenecking, but will definitely run SC2.

minimum frames on AMD setups are in 15-20.. vs 50s on a highly overclocked sandy..

The advantage is too significant to ignore, if you play the game at all seriously, AMD is "considerably" unplayable biggrin.gif

According to TH, your post is invalid.

Sandy CPUs still have low min FPS. That chart clearly shows that 955 processor is slower than Sandy, but is totally 'playable.'
