the low fps situations during my games are completely due to CPU limitation.. this is where the intel is "twice" as good as amd for starcraft 2..

I'm not claiming intel is better at anything else, because I don't care... but for this one specific thing.. intel can't be beat. and the 955 is molasses

I have to agree with you about that fact.

Meh... I got a 3770k for 220 at MC. I personally don't see the need to upgrade for awhile...
Especially to Haswell. Not that it does not perform well - on the contrary it performs great. It's just it is not enough of a boost from ivy to warrant such a drop in money for it. All things considered, I hope this is the time for AMD to really step it up and release a heavily improved version of their processor line. Broadwell will hopefully see significant improvements in IPC.

Not sure if anyone saw my sigrig and I'm not sure where the starcraft conversation started, but I'm running a garbage c2 revision 955 that clocks at 3.6ghz @1.5v. I pretty much play bf3 religiously...

Anyway according to this, it would be a great upgrade

It would be nice to upgrade now, but I'm not sure if it's worth waiting
Edit: I pretty much get 90-100 cpu usage and 25-50 gpu usage

Buska,, It's NEVER worth waiting.. EVER...

Some people wait 3-4 months to save $50 on ONE thing... I can understand if you were buying 5-6 of those things, but on 1 thing... silly..

Haswell would be great for you for BF3 /4, delid, 5ghz, you'll be right up there with the Sandy EX people. thumb.gif

Yeah, for some reason I thought the USB3 issue was much more serious than it actually is.

Anyway, I'll be heading on to MC in a couple of hours to pick up a 4670K + UD4H for $345 and a 120gb Samsung 840 (non pro) SSD for $80.
$450 with tax included thumb.gif
