Only 2 SATA ports are working

Thread Starter
Only 1 sata3 and 1 sata2 port are currently registering on my motherboard. To install a second hard drive, I had to use the sata port I was using for the CDROM for my new disk. Now when I try to use any other port for my cd rom, it isnt being read....what the $#%3. Is my mother board messed up? The top pcie slot wont work either, lol... I don't want to deal with gigabyte...

Have you tired different cables?

Most of your SATA ports are off the same exact controller. Generally, the SATA 3Gb/s or 6Gb/s will fail all at once.
Once again...

All cables have worked at one point, it just matters what port they are in. All 3 drives and 3 cables work when plugged into ports 1 and 2, but none of the others.

Your mobo is probably still under warranty otherwise...
