Gtx 560 ti Overheat...

@desktop (idle) my gtx 560 ti temperatures are around 78-80celsius / fan speed 48% 3000rpm........ is that dangerous?
gaming 83-87celsius

(No dust in the fan




Specs.
Amd-fx-6100 6 core 3.1GHZ
Gtx 560 ti (not overclocked) /732MHz - 1900MHz
Motherboard:predator G3120
8gb ram
2 monitors

first of all welcome.

that is a bit warm, how old is the card? I find after a while the thermal paste will dry out on the chip and heatsink and not be nearly as effective.

also could you describe the lay out of the case? if you have tons of wires everywhere and no room for fresh air to reach the card, it could cause temp issues.

Thinking using two monitors is keeping it at 3D clocks (it's not downclocking when just at desktop) that's why gaming is not increasing it much while gaming. Still sounds a bit high tho, try re-doing the thermal paste on the card, most manufacturers use a shovel and a lump of tarmac rolleyes.gif

i Closed my 2 monit (Win+P) and it still says 80celsius

Clocks should drop unless a 3d program is running (a game not a 3d video or whatever)...unplug a monitor.
