Need New Pump

I got a Bmaverick two months back, it is making a terrible hiss noise that is painful to listen to.

I have the http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_318_665&products_id=33423&zenid=de0f6108544a7f87ec833d472479c2fc for a res.

I'd like to stay under $80-100 for a new reliable pump.

Are you planning on attaching the pump to your res? If not a good Laing D5 would be your best bet.

Edit: Whoops, I misunderstood how that particular reservoir worked. This would be a good replacement pump.

What about the Swiftech 655?
I would also recommend a Laing D5. This pump is rebranded under several manufacturers. The Swiftech 655 is the same pump, and I think Koolance have their own version too. I personally have the Alphacool version.

It's a rock solid reliable pump with good flow and low noise.

So you'd go with this one too?

And another question, you would go with a name like this vs another Bmaverick. Is the quality going to be better, because I've heard its just a more expensive version of the same pump. This Bmaverick lasted like 4 months.

OK, got your PM.

The pump is making a hissing noise? More like a snake hiss or like air leaking from a tire?

Have you tried pinching the inlet tubing to hear if the noise changes pitch? Is there trapped air in the pump?

Is the coolant just plain distilled water and a biocide or is there something else added like a Mayhem's coolant agent?
