I am talking about the Impact, and the Define is an micro ITX/micro ATX case. While not as small as a strictly mITX case, it is much smaller than a Phantom, and I like the looks of it.

The Fractal Node isn't bad (I like my plain boxes), but with a strictly ITX case, you can get into some unit cooling situations. Going mITX/mATX Mini tower, you still get a nice tiny form factor, but with a little more room. I would use something like the Fractal Node for a HTPC and the likes.

The Impact looks great, nice work ASUS thumb.gif Finally excellent placement of the 8-pin connector. Might have to give Haswell a try after all.

That'd be the Define Mini you're thinking of. And yeah, it's a great case. Using mATX for mITX gives you more room for WC.

Agreed, I've said the same about the Bitfenix Prodigy. It's large compared to a traditional itx case, but traditionally you don't pair them with such powerful cpus or gpus either. You need a little space for airflow, plus they're more fun to work on if it doesn't feel so cramped.

Well, I honestly didn't think I needed to state the mini when talking about an mITX. But yes, to clear the air completely I am talking about the Define Mini, it is a sweet little thing.

You can also plug in the SATA cable before installing the HSF. Or you can watercool. Or just get a reference design board(gigabye/msi), or the Asus Z87I-Deluxe.

Heh I did also switch from a TJ07 to a Define R4 at the same time. I do like their cases but I wouldn't upgrade to Haswell without going down to an mITX...no real point otherwise. And I wouldn't put an mITX into a mATX myself because that seems to be defeating the purpose. The NCASE M1 seems a good fit if it ever comes out. Not sure I'd go with the Node, as perhaps I'm just holding onto things I don't really need but I would still like the option of having an internal DVD drive. Oh well August is probably the next time I can consider switching components around as I've started online classes for the summer and don't really want anymore downtime.

I still can't believe it's taken ASUS this long to use a standard G1/4 fitting for the Formula. I bought a Maximus Formula SE right around the time the X48's were coming out with the intention of adding it to the loop but I never did because of the fittings. I do definitely love me some ROG boards though.
