Hello,

Been looking at the type of GPU i would like to purchase upon my return home... I was told to purchase the following....

ASUS brand

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121659

but then I was also told not to get ASUS but get this EVGA brand cause its better...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130824

That is a EVGA that i found on newegg... So my question is if you were going to get a 670 what would you choose and why? and let say you were also planning to purchase a second 3-6 months later for SLI hook up...? If you want visit my profile and take a look at my system if you want to know what I have if it makes a difference in your decision making process...

thanks smile.gif

Don't I want to do do SLI later on down the road? this one doesn't seem like it can offer that... and this is only 2gb not 4gb? I want it to last and be able to handle the most current PC games ....

VRAM isn't the only thing that matters when it comes to video cards. Yes, the GTX 770 2GB has less VRAM than the GTX 680 4GB yet outperforms it in nearly every game (except Blizzard games) -

just some examples (numbers are Frames per second)

resolution 1920x1200

Crysis

770 2GB: 63.4

680 4GB: 57.1

Metro

770 2GB: 32.8

680 4GB: 29.3

Skyrim

770 2GB: 83.6

680 4GB: 78.8

resolution 2560x1600

Crysis

770 2GB: 39.6

680 4GB: 35.1

Metro

770 2GB: 25

680 4GB: 22.6

Skyrim

770 2GB: 68.1

680 4GB: 59.3

and yes the GTX 770 can SLI (up to 3 cards maximum: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/introducing-the-geforce-gtx-770)
