You seem to be suffering from a misconception. Low-sens players are much more in need of high malfunction speeds than high-sens players. Do the following experiment if you don't believe me:
- Get an MS Wheel Mouse Optical.
- Play Quake Live without software mouse acceleration and a low sensitivity (i.e. at least 40cm per 360 degree turn).
- Come back here and start a thread complaining about the WMO and its darn low malfunction speed.
Personally, I prefer to stay below 2m/s, but I can go higher, and I perfectly understand that practiced low-sens players will want a malfunction speed of no less than 4m/s. And considering what the Logitech MX500 could already do back in 2007, I don't think it should be considered too much to ask either. Unfortunately, developers spend their time mostly on increasing CPI values to useless heights instead of actually improving the technology.
