Help me get my memory stable at 2000mhz on my 7970 on air - Page 2

I think about 1900-1950 might be as high as I can go for long term stable. Can run furmark allday at 1950 at stock voltages, can run 3dmark, vantage, and 06 at 1900 at stock voltages (though sure I can go higher) But trying to bust through 1950 just doesn't seem to want to happen that easily. Even with higher voltages. But at least seemed to have established that 1900mhz as it sits so far is a good day to day clock speed as it runs it at stock voltage and seems to be rock stable :-)

Is there a way to change the timings of the ram at all as maybe that could get me my extra little bit. Also as a side question might hte timings or stuff be different on the second bios? I haven't tried running it yet but curious if it is even worth it?

This bios stuff gets really complicated, and really shouldn't be bothered. I mean 1900 is really good for a 7970. It might be possible to change the timings of the ram to increase clock speed, but tbh the work needed to research + flash the bios and the risk of bricking it is really not worth it. I guess you should just feel satisfied that you have golden ram chips on your 7970 and just call it a day.
