Gigabyte Z86 , OC vs UD3H

Hello there,

Im in a bit of a squeeze between these two:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128594

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128592&Tpk=z87%20ud3h&IsVirtualParent=1

First of all, I LURBS the orange theme of the OC version. But the thing is that Ill be running 2x SLI on the board. And basically the OC version has, as far as I can understand, 8x/8x SLI capabilities on the 2 top slots, which gives the airflow a real setback. If the 1st and 3rd slot was 8x/8x, it would be perfect.

The UD3H tho, has 2 slots between the cards, which helps with airflow.

Can anyone confirm/deny this? 20 bucks would be a small price to pay for the extra eye-goodies and capabilites on the OC version, but I wouldnt want to sacrifice an extra air-slot just to get an orange board.

EDIT:

Nvm, sucky reviews are sucky. Found a nice picture showing me why the OC board is basically better in every way smile.gif. I think the only mistake they did was price these ones too close together. Who wouldnt spend 20$ on this beauty?

yea the guy is right, i hope my review helped. But yea the Z87X-OC has triple slot spacing, the second orange slot is 4x an its the first 4x so its labeled 4x_1, the second 4x is totally not linked to the first one but its labeled _2.

UD3H and OC have extremely close DNA, in fact the OC is based off the UD3H.
