Thanks everyone! Sorry about the long reply was painting the shed and shifting fence panels lol

You think then go with one WB Black and see what the performance is like then if its not enough go with the RAID and back up regularly?

Backups are not a problem anymore being as my legend of a friend bought me another 1TB external drive so i have plenty of room to back up that and the 2TB i already had smile.gif

Thanks again everyone! Very much appreciate it! smile.gif

Will smile.gif

EDIT: Actually forgot to mention i flamingoed up (<<If you get the reference, you sir are a legend!). My motherboard doesn't have enough sata ports lol so im going to have to upgrade the motherboard first which is no biggy, just going to delay my HDD set up lol Definitely still want to know if the HDD is a good idea because so help me i will be finishing it! lol tongue.gif

You basically said the best route. Buy a new drive and see if its fast enough for you and if its not then do the RAID0 so that you have an increase in speed. Regardless of which route you take though you should be doing regular backups.
