Overall, I think it's a funny quirk to watch. It has some representations of how things work, that is if HSA is adopted. Otherwise, I thought it was at least entertaining.

This is what would happen if TRON met Star Wars and then added in Crysis just for good measure. :3

Thanks you! I was about to say the same thing, that's pretty much the same thing I got from this video ahahaha, 4 AMD cores against 1 Intel LOL!

Yes this ad is insanely corny but its also like the first advertisement I've ever seen AMD really do so from a business standpoint I like that, they are trying to create a better image for themselves and get their product to be better known. Think back to the days when AMD had better performing CPUs than Intel, even shady business practices from Intel aside they still had a much larger market share because they advertised and people didn't know who or what AMD even was.

Long story short, for the price/performance the APU brings to the table it is VERY impressive and I think it deserves the attention, I myself would never use one in my own rig because my demands are much greater but for some 95%+ of users the APU is absolutely amazing and pretty much overkill.

(Before you start bashing me as an AMD "fanboi" My past few systems have all been Intel)
So much of this.

AMD has stated they want to rebrand themselves as being the gaming hardware company. Corny or not, this style of advertisement fits in perfectly with that goal (and judging by the views and likes vs dislikes on Youtube I'd say it's been pretty successful).

This obviously wasn't geared towards the "enthusiasts" who browse this forum. It was aimed at a much broader audience, many of whom would tune out if they just threw a bunch of specs and performance charts at them. IMO AMD deserves kudos for their creativity on this one.

That was completely, and utterly, badass. I so hope AMD takes the crown again.

From the words of the poorly voiced officer:
Quote:
We're confident that you should tear through those old, familiar applications with the modifications we've made

So the little critters would be representing "old, familiar applications"
Quote:
You should know though that we've picked up a new signal coming out there, could be a new app

So the big blue dude represents a "new" app.

Nothing to do with Intel.

See? Not too hard really.
