Do those temps @ 4ghz seem too high after 2 mins of prime?

i used arctic silver 5, doesnt it have a cure time or something?, im waiting on mx-2 to arrive, you reckon i should take it up to 4.5ghz? biggrin.gif

    TJ max is 105°C for your i7 3770K.  You may be able to take it all the way to 4.8 GHz.

2 min is too little to tell if your cooling is adequate. 10-15 minutes will give you a much more accurate indication.

    I don't know.  Bump it up a little bit and see where the temperatures go.  I would keep them below 90°C for longevity and to avoid throttling (which will kick in at 105°C)

I run my 3570k 4.5 GHz 1.21 Volts 24/7

Running IBT on maximum setting, I get an avg. of 78 Degrees Centigrade, using CM TPC 812. When I used my CM Hyper Evo, it was about 79 Degrees Centigrade. You might want to reseat your cooler with the correct amount of TIM. AS5 does have a cure time of 200 hours+. Try using that other stuff you ordered. I bet you will get a couple degrees difference!
