Could it be that your GPU cooler was mounted improperly or they did a bad paste job. Since you lowered the clocks on the GPU that would reduce the power consumption and temperature of the GPU, which may be causing these crashes. It could be that whatever is monitoring the temps on the card is faulty and it is indeed running too hot. I feel like you got really unlucky and had 2 bad GPU's. I honestly can't think of anything else that could be wrong.

Also I do not remember seeing your computer's temperatures at load, did they ever seem high to you?

One thing you could do is try out some of your components in another computer (friend's/family's) and see if the issues persist.

Good luck on solving this issue without having to severely under-clock you GPU.
Are you sure it's driver related? He already did a fresh install and has tried multiple drivers. I guess it couldn't hurt to do it again and use the most recent drivers.

I didn't read the whole thread. So I just went with that. The reason why I say it's not the GPU, is he had the same problem with his old GPU in which made him buy the new one just to have the same problems. That's kind of ironic, don't you think!!!

Yea, it is crazy that he replaced everything just to have the problem persist! Like you said, reinstalling the drivers might help a lot, and wouldn't take that long to fix. I would try 13.8 beta as I haven't had any issues with them since they came out earlier this month

Change the case, and you'll have a brand new PC.

only thing I can say is that go to a store or a friends house and test it there.
