CPU Cooler Top 10 - Page 3

I know that the Noctua 120 doesn't get that much limelight, but it does me right.

IMHO any one of the tower Coolers that supports a 120mm fan has the most efficient performance. It's a science of thermo-dyanamics: surface area and airflow.

You mean the NH-U12? I was so happy when I tested it against my old 9500 and it blew it away. I keep meaning to add a second fan to it and see if it helps (my case exhaust 120mm is only about 3" from the back of the NU-U12)

Somone should do head to head benchies of these great heatsinks with the same 120mm fan to see the design itself. Would be great if they lapped the heatsinks as well to take rough copper out of the equation as well.

The Tuniq Tower 120 is undoubtedly the best air-cooling for, pretty much, any CPU, there have been several heat-to-head reviews and people that personally have tried the TT120 in this forum and it's been concluded that the TT120 is just the best.

As for the BT+FM121, maybe but I put a FM121 in my TT120 and that was a waste of money. The FM121 in unbearable when it's spinning at the full 2400 rpm, you wanna talk about jet engines?

I had to notched down the FM121 to 2Krpm just like the stock Tuniq spins at and the temps did not change one bit and the extra 400rpm did not make that much of a difference, just about 2c-to-3c but the nose level went from 0-60 in a split second..........so the lesson here is not to replace the stock TT120's fan for a FM121 because it's going to be a waste of money, unless you like the sound of a pissed off bee inside your case.

Yeah, because my 38 degrees C load temperature for my overclocked E6700 is ridiculously high! I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the Tuniq Tower 120...

Yes! Oh Yes! A thousand times, Yes! I love it. In fact it was your review that prompted me to purchase it as I could not find a Tuniq tower fo the life of me.

A single fan is all that I need. Testing showed that the push/pull of dual 120's just caused turbulence inside my case.... yup , the pull fan and the rear exhaust were too close together.

A thousand "Thank-you's"... My 24/7 OC of 3.52 would not be possible without it.
