new to the forums and I come looking for assistance. I have searched though many pages and there just does not seem to be a definite answer I can find. I have looked though here as well but to no avail. So sorry if it is a re-post and I assure you I did try the search and google machine.
I just did a build using the Sniper M5 Specs are as followed in Hyperlink. http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1hn5nv/build_complete_haswellgtx780350d_matx_build/
My issue is when my computer is powered down for a little bit and I press the power button it does one of two things:
1) Powers on correctly
2) Powers on and shortly after fans go to idle it powers down, after power down it has a quick flick of power but does not power up just a flick. It then will not respond to the power button until I cycle the power supply on/off switch until all power has been removed from the mobo. After that, it will either work or I will have to repeat step 2.
It has happened to the point that I have had to cycle the power supply switch up to 10 times in order to get the pc to boot. I have tried:
1)Removing the power/battery allowing the mobo to reset cmos. Didn't work
2)Updating from F3 BIOS to F5. Didn't work
3)A different, although same brand/manufacture/model, power supply.
After it has booted it has no problems staying on.
I could really use some direction and assistance. It is becoming increasingly frustrating. I have heard of compatibility issues regarding EVGA PSUs and Gigabyte MOBOs but I emailed EVGA and they assured me it would work fine, Even sent me a replacement. Also heard of the low C-state issues Gigabyte has with Haswell. I am really unsure where to go next.
