do you have easytune running or appcenter? Try turning it off and see if that helps.

Fortunately, the CORRECT output that isn't amplified (labeled J in the manual), sounds great!

BTW its not a typo i think, look at the backpanel IO, it also has out written there, that is because these ports can be changed with software.

Sin, I've uninstalled Easytune already.

What I've come to find out is that the motherboard can't handle a high overclock AND a high frequency of RAM at the same time. I noticed that I'm completely stable at 1866mhz ram and 4.6ghz OC. I've had to bump up my vcore to 1.296v though. I might try to bump the ram speeds to 2000mhz later. I'm going to see how this pans out first.

I know my system can handle the heat but for reference, my water cooling setup is below:

Swiftech 320 Radiator (3 X Gentle Typhoons 1450rpm 3 x Gentle Typhoons 1850 rpm) push pull config l Koolance 140mm radiator also push pull config | Swiftech Pump w/XSPC Res Top l Heatkiller 3.0 CPU Block l Heatkiller GPU-X GTX 690 "Hole Edition" Nickel l Heatkiller Geforce GTX 690 GPU Backplate l Danger Den 1/2ID UV Green tubing l EK EKoolant UV Green Liquid

I'm still debating to delid or not and I have CLU pro on hand...hmm..

Easytune - No

Appcenter - not sure what that is.

So, removing the extra power to the PCI lanes gave me no avail. But I did find something else.

My PSU is known for coil whine, and I'm quite sure I can hear it if I get my ear right next to it. So, could this be my issue? I'm about to take it out anyway and test my 750tx in there.

Oh another thing is I have been using the Asus overclocking guide and trying to match as much as possible to this board.

Sin, do you know where the setting for "adaptive" overclocking is located? There was also a System Agent (VCCSA) that I needed to bump from 1.15 to 1.25 volts in the Asus guide that I can't find in this motherboard, any clue?

It is where you launch the gigabyte programs from, then never mind out that. The thing about your mouse is odd, what drivers have you installed and which have you not? Did you install the Intel Management Engine(ME)?

Yes this is actually not the motherboard but rather the CPU(something that has been there with ivy but amplified with haswell), notice all these benchmarks on LN2, look at how gimped the memory OC is compared to the memory OCes everyone shows off. YOu can try increasing some of the voltages. Also please try bumping the ring voltage to 1.2v see if that helps(it will sadly increase your temperature a bit but also help CPU stabilization) Also this board is based off the OC Force, it should have very similar OC. IMO do delid but only if you already like your CPU ;D

you mean for voltages? When you leave on auto or use offset for vcore it is enabled. For instance SVID will change the VIN with adaptive, but if you set your own value it will change to override mode.

damn no need to bump that to that high, which guide are you using? shaminos? That one is really mainly for LN2 benchers, please don't copy his voltages(SA, IOA and IOD are offset in the GBT) as the defaults aren't listed. Anyways system agent is right there in the BIOS as an offset you can try +0.2v max on air, as the other two. You can also raise DRAM voltages.

Well, I took everything out of my system, and checked my components one by one to see what is causing this light squeeling from the amped audio port.
I've narrowed the issue down to 4 things.

As a side note, all other ports sound fine.

The motherboards audio is terrible.
The motherboards audio is defective.
Its a software issue.
Or I need headphones with more impudence.

As a side note, all other audio ports work fine.

I'll be contacting gigabyte tomorrow to see what they have to say on the issue.

Yes, it says 'out" right above it. There's not two line in's. It is an output, the default output. The yellow circled on is the amplified port. So far you've contradicted everything in this thread.

I would say it's a defective headphone amplifier. It is amplifying noise off of it's power rails. The unamplified ports sound gorgeous.

awesome! I thought you meant it is a line in and gigabyte said it is a line out by accident.

Rock solid 4.6ghz overclock with 1.28v, highest temp after hours of gaming was 71c. 1 Hour of AIDA64 and 1 hour of Prime 95 stable. No more random BSODs, it had to be the memory speeds (which I'm going to try to refine here coming up). I wish I could run my memory at it's stock 2400mhz but it seems to be pushing the CPU's limitations (or motherboard). So far I'm happy now but I'd like to see if I could push 4.7 or even 4.8 (delided).
