"Second, being that this is THE board for overclocking, I'd like advice on some of the cpu fan setups you guys have going. I'm willing to spend up to around $100, but I need to make sure I get something that will fit in the case (a HAF-X, the ultra popular one on newegg). With the water cooled ones I've seen, I'm not sure where I would mount the fans. There doesn't seem to be any correct-size mounts on the top, which is covered by the two 200mm fans. Any advice on a good fan that is fairly easy to install (always had trouble with that, especially the difficulty getting the thermal paste juuuuuust right.) would be GREATLY appreciated."
This is a board aimed at gamers. It isn't "the board for overclockers". It will OC well because Z87 boards do, and it is very well made. Some reviews have shown it to be a little behind some of the other boards when it comes to over clocking, but this is only comparatively and it shouldn't stop you getting everything your particular Haswel chip has to give.
