I'm having MAJOR issues installing Win7-64 on my M5.
I updated the bios to F7, and I have the latest x64 drivers. I prepared the AHCI drivers on a USB stick, and loaded them during the pre-install. In bios, I have the boot option set to "Other OS" and "UEFI and Legacy".
When I install Win7, it completes the install, and when it tries the first re-boot, I get a BSOD with the message :
An attempt was made to execute to non-executable memory.....
*** iaStorA.sys Address FFFFF8800490BCDC base at FFFFF88004800000 Datestamp 5175919s
When I reset, it wont reboot with the message : "BOOTMGR is missing"
I have 3 x SSDs : an Intel 520 series 180GB, an Intel 520 series 240GB and a Samsung 840 series 512GB.
I'm using Corsair Vengeance RAM.
I've tried disconnecting the other two SSDs and I've swapped the RAM for a set of G.Skill rated for Z87 motherboards....same problem.
I've re-downloaded the drivers, and I've tried every combination of bios settings for EUFI and Legacy.....all to no avail. I've even tried installing all of the other drivers on the pre-install driver disk.
I must have done the install at least a dozen times now......
What bios setting have you used to successfully install Win7-64 ?
What AHCI drivers did you install ?
Any suggestions ??
