It comes down to why you want it. Can you fold on 4 of those all in your PC? Now that would be awesome! But right now.. otherwise, it is just for looks, and I can see why many people aren't too excited about that.

There is just SO much more you could have done with that money.... it is just so damn sad to see it wasted like this. Liquid cooling, custom case, complete SSD build, 5 horizontal monitor setup.... lawd have mercy there is so much more you could have done.

You both make great points and I accept I've made a mistake. Looks like a good path would be to sell off the extra 780 and perhaps pursue a watercooling setup instead. Thanks for knocking me to my senses.

I do want to keep the new mobo/cooler/PSU/case however as it sets me up nicely for 4-way SLI in the future should I ever revisit it.

Dang...

I can't wait until they come out with a single monitor that size in the future, curved and all.

Regarding the title of your thread, instead of 3-Way GTX 780 SLI' Why not use 'Tri-SLI GTX 780'

That is the most common use of the name thumb.gif

Good call - changed the thread title.

I have received just about everything at this point. Case arrived today at the post office so I'm heading out shortly to pick that up. The last thing I'm waiting on now is the new PSU.

It may be appropriate to rename this build to STORM TROOPER after staring at this case for awhile now... that front plate is screaming for a storm trooper helmet sticker haha
