Although e-atx boards are larger than atx boards, do they still fit atx cases?

I'm planning to utilize my pci x8 lane on the bottom of my gigabyte mobo, but my cm 690 does not leave any room for my 2nd gpu.

Can anyone suggest a case similar to mine in my sig rig? I have 10 noctua fans and would like to utilize them all.

Id prefer a mid or super mid case.

Please refer to my sig rig for pictures.

edit: now that I purchased an antec 1100, the antec website shows its support for xl-atx, but does not refer to e-atx.

Will the antec 1100 have a problem fitting an e-atx board?

I pulled the trigger on a Antec eleven hundred.

Its a super mid tower for xl-atx, and i got it at 93 dollars shipped from ncix.

Hope this helps out someone in the future.

Should be no problem. The case has 9 expansion slots....

The E-ATX motherboard had the same holes as the ATX motherboard, the difference is the width thereof. If your case support ATX model, the E-ATX model will work perfectly.

The only problem of compatibility is the cable management holes that may interfere.

The motherboard you specified (GA-X58A-UD3R) is not of the EATX form factor. EATX motherboards are 305mm long and 330mm wide.

Thanks for everyone's input, I took them all into consideration.

I finally got my setup put into my new Antec Eleven Hundred case.

I am able to use my bottom pci x8 slot, except it is squeezing my usb and case port cables against the motherboard. May consider a new xl-mobo, but not sure yet. Anyways, here are the pics.

I'd like to note that I was concerned about the fitment of the two side panel fans while using a noctua d14. The pics will show that there is merely a 1mm space in between the noctua d14 heatsink and my noctua side fan. Hope this helps out someone in the future.

did you install eATX? or maybe know if a 13.68" x 13" (34.7cm x 33cm) eATX mobo would fit?
