Future Build.. Looking for some advice

Hello,

First let me say hello to everyone. I'm new here and a little new to water cooling. This build i'm planning will be my second build and my first was at

http://www.modsrigs.com/detail.aspx?BuildID=29956

Let me say before I ask the questions i'm looking for there are allot of things I have planned for this build to include taking out the center divider on the Caselabs M8 + MB Tray and rebuilding it with Red Acrylic about 1/2 in thick with a 1/8 thick black overlay.. Subject to change =D though

But the main question is off of this picture !!

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

Based on the route that is in that picture!

How many pumps would you all use ?
What would be the best pump to use to feed the max amount of flow ?
Would 1 Res be good enough ?

Or even do you have any suggestions to add !

Keep in mind the Radiator location is based on the Caselabs M8 Case along with the bottom pedestal and top 120mm Cover ! The 2 radiators at the top of the case will be above the case and under the cover with push pull fans. The same applies to the bottom...

Wow, looking at your specs listed, this is going to be one hell of a PC. If I may ask, what do you need 12 TB of space and 4 GTX Titans for? drool.gif

You could probably make the loop system a lot easier by having a dedicated cooling loop for you GPU's and a dedicated cooling loop for your CPU+ram..etc.

Two MCP 655 Pumps will work fine. You can buy the Dual Pump Top setup by Bitspower as well.

Are you serious about having four 480rads? I find this completely unnecessary.

I do allot of video editing etc.. Pictures, Movies ! Need tons of space... The HDDs will be my backup the main HDDs will be 2 Samsung 840's 500GIG on RAID 0.

I have thought about just dividing the route though but tbh I love the clean look of the plumbing on the motherboard and would like to keep it at that...

with this build i'm looking for something that I can build up. Something that takes time IE build up walls , paint etc.. I have nothing but time .. sucks sitting at home all day with nothing to do

This machine im looking to build will be my dream PC. Im just waiting on a settlement to come in to build it wink.gif

Oh, don't get me wrong, I like the set up as well in terms of how your loop route is. thumb.gif I just think that temps would be a lot better if you cut the loop system into two. I also find watercooling the HDD's to be a waste of time and money, but if you need them cooled, that's up to you.

Hmm...would you be able to hide two separate reservoirs and pumps in the top and bottom covers?

Btw, what kind of Reservoir are you looking to get? 1 reservoir should be enough. 2 reservoirs next to each other would make this case look pretty badass though.

I planned on getting the EK 250 X3 ,I could scrap the HDD Block Idea and mount duel res in the front and build a platform / wall for them..The HDD blocks where more eye candy for myself tbh.

I cant think of a color scheme for this though. I run into allot of red / black , Blue / black .. Not sure yet was thinking gold / ?

Im sorry btw if my explanation is bad. I have TBI and things dont come out the way I wish for them to.

A Dual Reservoir system in the front would look amazing man. Maybe even hidden by a closure (wall) with two tube route holes in them. Probably should of mentioned this earlier, but if you get SDD"s instead, you could just velcro a couple to the backside motherboard chasis.

As for color, Deep Orange and Black go very well together. So does Clear Blue and Silver. Gold and Black can work well together also..

Check out these pictures:

Ok, I think I have come up with a decent plan for this now. I have a hard time trying to explain so again ... ill do it with a picture i have drawn up in paint.
Start with the res in paint and works its way through 3 655 pumps " Not sure if that is overkill " It has allot of 90 deg bends in it and a long route. Let me
know what you think and if you think something should go a little diff. I like constructive criticism.

Sorry about all the extra white area's in the pic. I plan to add more designs from the front and other side.. I'm just curious about this loop..biggrin.gif

"not sure that is overkill"

Your watercooling 6 HDD"s and plan on using 4 Alphacool UT60's, you went overkill a long time ago, haha. Don't even get me started on your Quad-Sli. biggrin.gifrolleyes.gif

Personally, I think you should just stick with two pumps. Two MCP 655's at full speed have more than enough power to handle what your giving them.

Instead of laying the tube reservoir out horizontally, what about placing it outside of the case vertically?

My advice... get down the gym... this is going to weigh an absolute ton. It's one of the reasons I stopped water-cooling my HDD... the other being they are a pain to swap out. I never watercooled 6 though!
