help picking z87 MB

Thread Starter
Going to be using a 4770k, primarily for gaming but also some video encoding and some VMs for work. Plan to do some mild overclocking but nothing crazy. It's been a couple years since I've upgraded so I'm not really up to date with the who's who of MBs.

Was originally looking at Gigabyte Z87-UD3H due to price and overall brand reputation.
However MSI Z87-GD65 looks pretty sweet for nearly the same price ($10 more) but I don't know much about quality/reliabilty.
ASRock Z87 Extreme6 looks like it has the most features, minus the killer nic, and is the cheapest of all 3, but again I don't know much about quality/reliabilty of this brand.

Anyone have a good recommendation of which to go with?

ASRock has a good reputation, at first they were owned by Asus, but now I believe they are independently owned. A lot of people like their boards.

As for MSI, I recently saw RMA rates for a period of last year and MSI was leading the RMAs by a good margin compared to other manufactures. But, that probably doesn't mean much.

As for Gigabyte, they have the lowest RMA rate according to the study I saw. They also have clearly stepped up their game with their Z87 offerings. IMO they look the best out of any other brand.

Its pretty early to say which board will be best, if you do a quick google search, reviews on Z87 boards are sparse and are slowly coming in.

Ultimately, go with whatever price point and feature set you like best. Personally, I am going with Gigabyte.
