7pin HDTV output and SVideo??? HConfused!

Hello -

Probably a quick question for the experts....

I just purchased a BFG 7600GT Graphics Card (http://www.bfgtech.com/7600GT_256_PCIX.html) that I am interested in running to my television from time to time.... This graphics card says it supports HDTV Output and has a 7 pin connector on the back. It comes with the adapter that is best shown in the following picture (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...ard+%2D+Retail)

Heres the problem... my telvisions all support only the old fasioned composite video (the yellow cable) and/or svideo connections. Am I going to be able to output this video to my television? What do I need to buy to make this work? I am thinking I need another type of 7 pin output cable like the one from EVGA that has an SVideo plug on it as well (shown at http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...ard+%2D+Retail) however I have no idea if that will work with my card.

So far, BFG has not answered my e-mails.... anyone have any input or advice? Seems like this should be easier - I feel like I am missing something.

Thanks in advance!

The best way to find it is to try getting a S-video cable and test it out if you have one lying around.

The output looks like you're conventional COMPONENT video output, for 480p and analog HDTV. If that is the only way to connect to your TV, you won't be able to hook it up.

Well - it was easy. All I had to do was plug a regular SVideo cable into the 7 Pin HDTV Output (directly on the video card) and tell NVidea to output via SVideo instead of component. I guess I was just thrown off by the EVGA Adapter that had a special SVideo Port - turns out its not really needed...

Thanks for the advice everyone!
