That might be so but even your awesome TJ11 is in the minority as far as NOT looking like "12-year-old-1337 gamer", my beighbor just asked me to build a rig for him and his first two choices were this and this..... After I told him no because of what he wanted inside and performance wise, his must haves were blue LEDS, and window......no mention of size, drive cages, bays, heatsink clearance, WC rad support, cable management, just LED's and windows......

But yeah, some just like more cleaner plain looks that they can then customize how ever they want or not at all.

That's typical of kids that have never built a PC and realize what's important. LEDs and windows are "wow" factors.

Now I can't decide between the Arc Mini R2 or the 350D.

The 350D lets me use a 280mm radiator up top, and keep one of the ODD bays for mounting a 3.5" hard drive, and has 5 PCI-E slots, allowing a dual slot graphics card to be used in the 4th slot of a m-atx motherboard.

At the same time, the Mini looks soooo much classier. wha-smiley.png

Closer looks at the cases in these videos, though they're not in English:

Sorry but I'm no "kid" and I've built several PC's. Doesn't mean that I don't like led's and windows. rolleyes.gif Here's my "1337 gamer PC" that has all those tacky led's in it:

Lol, might have been a little jumpy there! tongue.gif Just pointing out that led's and windowed cases aren't just for kids and noobs...

I have an original Arc Mini and it's awesome. Very clean and for a mATX case it has a ton of room.

*has LEDS and windows on both PC's in his room* tongue.gif

No worries just a misunderstanding, we were just poking fun at my neighbors specific LED+ Window case choices.

unless a row of drive bays on the front offers up more visual excitement than a fan grill, it seems theyre both (the arc and the TJ11) styled around a plain black box with minimal external design. edit: actually the front of your case is rather similar with regard to the grill, whoops.

I think Fractal's following is based on a few things: 1) their use of heavy materials, 2) efficient, minimalist layouts, 3) the novelty of being Swedish. Originally their popularity is owed to their success with the Define, which introduced some acoustic-oriented features that weren't common before it. I don't think they are necessarily better than other brands like Corsair, Silverstone, Lian-Li, though. Actually the front fan mounting system on my Arc Midi is terrible (they improved it with the next gen).

Very nice, classy looking rig, but it's due to your nicely done interior setup. The case itself is sorta stylishly neutral.

OK, so after watching this video I am actually thoroughly impressed with these Fractal cases. The styling may still be a bit dull but I am so stoked to see another case company really putting serious thought and design into water cooling. The fact that they are running two thick 360 rads a thick 360 and 240 rads in that Mini is flat out impressive. Plus Josh is the man! thumb.gif
