Photos for Build Logs

First off, I have no idea where to put a thread like this so I guess this is the most appropriate.
I have checked out the "how to take photos of your case" and I am sure I can say that I can handle cameras to a more "higher" level.
However, I'm here to ask how to create a nice back drop.
I've seen people have a sort of black stainless steel base and a black backdrop or the classic infinite white floor.
How are people attaining these? Unless they are going to proper studios which I doubt?
Thanks for any responses.

when taking fancy shots, i usually use a couple of lamps without the tops and an ironed bed sheet somewhere that is taped to the wall and curved down to the floor and taped aswell, this leaves no lines in the background biggrin.gif hope that helps a little tongue.gif

An ironed bed sheet! Thank you my man! I've seen some crinkled ones but those were horrible and I never thought of using an ironed one! Thank you!
Any pics that you could show this technique with?
