Here's a 4.6Ghz 4770 cinebench score to compare (top screen in the link), don't have any of my 2600k screens handy.

Stupid question, I am messing with my OC setting for my 4770k, I have CPU-Z and core temp and core temp gadget. plus HW monitor. But how can you tell if its throttling? because temp core is showing it jumping around but CPU-z doesnt.

Something's wrong there. At 4.7 I'm getting 10.21 in Cinebench (With 1333 Memory which doesn't matter much). You must have something running in the background that's affecting the CPU score. 4.6 GHz should yield something close to ~9.9.

Gah, you can't leave us hanging like that!

That's the 3770k screen, this was the 4770k, just over 10 in cinebench.

I'm really disgusted with Intel right now.

Garbage performance gains and garbage temps.

And I thought water cooling was difficult. Now they want us to break pieces off our CPUs before they can run at decent temps.

first of all, thank you very much for the video!!!

so I might jump this wagon.... would it still make sense to lap the HS also? and I saw you using CLU, do I need to use that as well on the hs, or is MX4 ok? Don't you need to clean the HS on the inside ( black glue all around ) redface.gif

They don't listen or care about listening to their consumers and just wanna earn more profits by using this cheap stuff in their cpu's.
