Dell U2713H Issues?

I am thinking of buying this monitors but all the issues people report are keeping me back...

First of all, is overdrive this bad? I own Dell U2412M monitor. On my monitor I didn't notice any artifacts. What can I expect from U2713?

Comparing those images:

It doesn't seem like a big difference, or I am comparing wrong images?

Also, what is the most recent revision? A03 or A04?

Finally, has anyone tried asking amazon to send a specific revision?

Dell will not fix the overshoot issues on their new monitors, a Dell rep confirmed the overdrive issues are intentional n their forums in regards to the 3014 which has the same issues.

PixerPixAn's car test can only show us how a monitor performs with a few pixel transitions, evaluating a display solely on how the car performs is useless.

All of Dell's new monitors (S2x40L/M, U2x13H & 3014) suffer from overshoot (ghosting), as does the U2412 but the U2713H is considerably worse..

Look at the second graph with the grey dotted lines and green line. The more the green line deviates from the grey lines the more the display overshoots (ghosts). The U2713H's overshoot is really noticeable. You can see it overshooting in my video review

The U2412 overshoots less

The U2713H is a wide gamut monitor=inaccurate & over-saturated colors in games. You could use the green tinted sRGB mode which has locked color settings and very high input lag, but that would be silly. The game mode has lower lag but uses the displays native, wide gamut, has poor colors and locked color settings.

If you want to upgrade to a 2560x1440 monitor get the ViewSonic VP2770, it is the fastest 60hz 2560x1440 monitor and has less quality control issues than the rest.

I received the U2713H today. After a couple U2713HM exchanges, DELL deceided to "upgrade" me to the U2713H.

First impressions.... hate it.....put it right back in the box to be shipped back.

- Inaccurate color
-green tint
- Horrible overshoot (worst iv'e ever seen), which makes it unusable for me.

This is my 8th replacement since my original purchase in December 2012 (See my older posts)

....done with DELL

Might just sell the U2713H and get an LED ACD.

Hmmm..... It says both on the box. My PC and Mac Pro both detect as U2713H. Is there a newer revision that fixes the issues with this monitor? Mine is Rev. A02.

When you say green tint, is it the overshoot from white with gray backgrounds or the green tint when ever you switch windows. have you tried turning smart video enhance off under the display settings.

There is a green tint across the whole screen in general. There are also different tints with overshoot.

I turned off Smart Video enhance as soon as i received the monitor.

I have managed to match the color pretty close to my u2713HM through Icc SRGB color profile, and adjusting hues on the monitor.

The monitor itself is crap and definitely not worth $999.00
