LLC only affects VRIN now, right? Not actual CPU Vcore? That's what Asus says anyway, although maybe their boards are different.

With the generic samsung are you setting the multiplier only or are you also setting timings and such?
yea it seems the second profile is setting T1 instead of T2. This is your kit right? http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=222
How old is that kit? I can't really find anything on it, it looks like G.skill made a few and then stopped for some reason which is very odd. If you check their site they didn't update its compatibility for Z87, I am guessing it might have some issues with the platform. Try profile 1 as long as it sets T2 I think you will be okay.

No this is my kit http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=438, will the T1 T2 thing make me unstable?

I'm feeling real stupid right now, ever since my Athlon days stuff would just plug and play without issue.

Can somone with the G1. S5/SM5 comment on the onboard audio's headphones out jack? Mine is incredibly noisy despite all that marketing. Once all the Creative's horse crap are turned off the stock opamp sounds decent but certainly not as good as what Gigabyte claims it to be. Unacceptable for a $400 board.

An MSI Z87 MPower Max is coming tomorrow, I'll see if this one is any better since it is based on the same concept. Honestly IMO it is a great idea, but in the G1. S5's case poorly executed (assuming my board is not lemon of course).

OC profiles using easytune or in BIOS? No for both.

I don't really get the CPU upgrade as it just lists chips.

I just remembered there's dualbios, derp. I should play with that...

returned my ud4h and got a msi gd65

decided a real audio solution was more important than Monster VRM's, and considering my MSI 650i P6N platinum still lives to this day I don't think I have anything to worry about

why don't you change the amp out? There is another AMP, you can try, but the audio volume is very high with the amp in you have to turn it way down compared to the normal output.

Big difference? I'm using a Xonar STX now and when swapping between that and the built in chip on my UD4H I couldnt tell a difference with my speakers and only a tiny difference with my headphones.

also make sure to make sure easytune isn't running to minimize DPC latency.

your opinion is subjective

objectively, an OPA1652 is superior to a DRV632, and ALC1150 is superior to ALC898
