Ah, UD3H owners, what were your reasons to get it instead of going on the cheaper variant, the D3H? As I already said, the lack of reviews is sorta worrying me...

I can tell you its not worth it but a few things lead me but obviously in the wrong direction. Color was blue and matched my silver and blue build. It was new at the time and no reviews. I literally got it the second z87 was avsilable . It is not a strong board but does offer more options than dch for over clocking and has voltage read outs.

Hmm, what options are you referring to?

I didn't know that... does it depend on firmware? Is it possible on the UD3H?

Well I'm not entirely sure really, Probably something to do with bios settings and option of bios chip put on board. If you Google difference between the two boards though you will see that is the major difference , if you plan to overclock ud3h is a bit better in ram and voltage options, you will obtain a possible higher overclock with ud3h give the extra voltage options. that not to say for normal gaming or anything d3h isn't good, you can probably get to what most folks want easily like 4.5, I think ud3h is more for much higher overclocks if needed type of thing with better options to make that happen.

Is the stability issues with 4 RAM installed still there for x-d3h/ud3h?
Im not quite sure what you asked but i think you wanted to know that I have two sticks installed and I own a ud3h.

I've actually read lots of issues about d3h&ud3h has some stability issues while using 4x ram sticks even on stock clocks. There are lots of threads about this both on Gigabyte forums and some other hardware forums. Gigabyte didn't even replied the questions about this issue for a long time according to many users all around the world. Some of the retailers have sent their stocks back to Gigabyte etc... Some people solved this problem by downclocking their rams to 1333mhz but that's not acceptable at all. So I'm wondering if they fixed these issues with a recent BIOS or something.

I'm actually considering to switch from MSI z87-g43 to a Gigabyte z87x-d3h or ud3h. But stuck at this point... And probably I'll end up with a GD65... x-ud3h in my heart...
