The connector was off center and no pins were damaged on the COM port.

When I looked for a free motherboard 9 pin usb2 port I found two but they are both in use. 1 goes to the corsair 100i cooler and the other one goes the fractal-r4 front top usb2 panel. So how do I connect the internal card reader to the motherboard? There are two usb3 motherboard ports . The one on the bottom of the motherboard is connected to the fractal r-4 usb3 ports on the top. The other usb3 port (center right) on the motherboard is not in use. Would you purchase another card read (this time usb3) to make use of the remaining usb3 motherboard port, or is there another way to connect the existing usb2 9 pin card reader to the motherboard?
I suppose your cooler is using USB 2.0 for Corsair Link? You don't really need both USB 2.0 & USB 3.0 external ports on your case, do you? If not disconnect the case external 2.0 ports (you would still have 3.0) or like Mirgus said buy an adapter.

Anyone with the UD4H know what normal and maximum VRM temps are? Or what your VRM temps are under full load?

Thank you for the suggestions concerning both my MB usb2 ports being used. I think I am going to try a new usb3 front internal card reader to make use of my single remaining unused MB usb3 port. A new card is only $24 US,

so i bought a new PSU and tried that. Now the System runs as it should.
Now when i reinstall Windows, the Computer dont shuts off after the first reboot (as it done before).
When i start Samsung Magician my system donts shuts off too. Pretty much awkward that the PSU was the problem o.O
C6/C7 was definitely disabled in the bios..

so i dont get that problem with the old psu biggrin.gif

I have a Z87X-UD7 TH and it has given me nothing but trouble since the day I installed it. I am on the latest BIOS (F4). I've managed to deal with most of the issues but the latest wrinkle has me seriously thinking about dumping this board and replacing it with a Asus Maximus VI Extreme.

My current dilemma is that when I install two MSI R9 290x Lightning GPUs the card in slot x16_1 is disabled and only the card in slot x16_3 works. I have the AUX PCI-e power connected to my Corsair AX1200i power supply.

Hello everyone. I have a problem with my motherboard z87x-UD3H. I can not access the BIOS if I have my monitor (Dell U2414h) connected to the Display Port of the Graphics Card (Sapphire R9 Dual-X 280x). The screen is black, and the motherboard shows the Ab code. If I connect the monitor to the HDMI of the graphics card, I can access the BIOS without any problem. My BIOS version is f7.
What is happening? I need to access the BIOS by the DP port. The HDMI port is connected to a TV in another room.
A greeting and thanks.

Nevermind. I resolved the issue this morning. The problem had nothing to do with the motherboard. I had to reroute some PCI-e power cables and that took care of it.

Hello, I have the GA-Z87X-UD7 TH for a new build. I wonder if anyone else with this board might post some pictures of the backside of the CPU socket area. I am concerned that mine is missing a surface mount resistor.

Thank you.

So, I'm a little late to the game. Just ordered a UD4H and a 4770k to replace my Z68/2600k setup...too many issues for too long.

My MoBo and CPU should be arriving in the next few days. I will be reading through this thread over the next few days to try and make myself aware of any issues or extra steps that may be needed. But I do have a few questions, in the meantime:

1. I will only be replacing the MoBo and CPU, from my sig rig. Is there any known issues with my components?
2. I run 7.1 surround sound, from a receiver. Is the Line Out jack, on the onboard audio an SPDIF out? I know the board has an Optical out, but I generally opt for coax out, due to optical's limitations.
3. Does the H100 fit without any issue?
4. Does the software package play nicely with Windows 8.1?
5. Is the SATA power connector(for PCIe lanes) necessary for non-SLI systems? I have a 780 ti OC Windforce 3, and I do plan on overclocking it.

That is all that I can think of at the moment. Maybe some of this will be answered in the thread. I look forward to all of the info.

And thanks, Sin, for the wealth of knowledge here.
