yea its much easier b/ then you never have to list what hardware you are using biggrin.gif I wasn't directly talking to you, there are many other new guys who haven't done this.

Can you give me the exact BSOD?

I got the UD4H at MC along with a 4670K... fantastic performance considering I was coming from a Phenom II tongue.gif
Absolutely no issues, I love this board. I don't fancy the "ULTRA DURABLE" on the heatsink, but whatever coolsmiley02.gif

I have the UD4H and 4670K running fine at stock. I initially had the UD3H but when installing Win 8, the keyboard and mouse would drop out at the 'Name your PC ' screen so I couldn't finish. I had the keyboard/mouse in the USB ports next to the P2S port. Also even with a 'Haswell' PSU the system would shut off upon wake from sleep and wouldn't start again without turning the PSU off and on again.
I took the UD3H back and got the UD4H, same price at Microcenter, and didn't have any of the install or PSU problems with it. There seems to be a setting in the Bios to compensate for the C6/C7 low power state and PSU issue, but I'm not sure how to set it correctly.

Thanks for the thread Sin

I've installed the beta F6c BIOS that's posted on Tweaktown (vailr on Anandtech forums referred me to that) and that seems to have fixed my problem. I was able to play Dota 2 for about an hour earlier and haven't had a BSOD since then. Assuming this keeps up I'll try overclocking again soon.

Hi,
I had the very same issue with a fresh install of Windows. I guess it was a broken SATA cable. I replaced the included sata cable with one I knew it will work and the crashes were gone.

Edit: Unfortunately I still have Blue Screen not as often but it crashes about every hour. When I change my clock speed it happens more often.

Debating whether to wait even longer or just go for Haswell with a Micro ATX board, primarily the GIGABYTE GA-Z87MX-D3H. The one question that boggles in my head is whether the board comes with any accessories as I cannot find any information on it. I may be blind or the information truly isn't listed or it may simply be because I'm new to the Gigabyte scene.

Hey Sin, does the Z87MX-D3H pack the DRV632 headphone amp too? and the fully-customizable fan control?

They did great job with that board it seems through I find it a bit pricy right now.

You have to look at the manual:

Nice find, I actually went to the product page and opened the manual in another tab and looked here again. And sure enough, you answered my question and confirmed my guess of where to look.

Hmmm...

So I just installed by Z87X-OC and i7 4770k.

For some reason at all stock settings BIOS is telling me my CPU temp is 42-47C. What the heck...

Running a Corsair H100 cooler. Re-seated it and it's still about the same temp.

Is that normal? BIOS showing 3.9 GHZ at 1.12v
