Need a new Wireless N Router

Thread Starter
UDPATE: See here

So my Dlink DIR655 is crapping out (spontaneous reboots, and no reason for this in the logs, and it's getting more frequent, as much as once a day).

I currently have 10 devices connected to the router (phones, laptops, desktop, NAS, wireless printer).

I would like for it to be wireless n (don't need ac, at least for quite a while), and have gigabit ethernet.

Price: $100 if possible.

I know that ASUS tends to have some good routers, and i'd like to stay away from linksys or netgear if possible.

any help is appreciated!

Also, my network usage is downloading, surfing, streaming, and local computer streaming.

Thanks!

It's not quite in your price range, but I love my Asus RT N66. The refurb is $30 less than the normal one, but obviously the warranty is less.

I bought it to replace my DIR 655, too. It works great.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been looking into the N66, but it think it's too much router that I won't ever use.

I can rationalize possibly the RT-N65U, but i'm not able to for the RT-N66U

Yeah, that would very likely do the job as well. I wanted the N66 because it can do 450mbps on the 2.4 band; the N65 can only do 300.

Update: So i ended up purchasing the asus rt-n66u. I figured the investment now would pay off later down the road, and with the possibility for more than 10 devices on the network, i need some router horsepower.

I was looking (and deciding) between these exact 2 routers as well. I decided that I should invest the money in the better router so that it will A. last longer and B. be able to handle the amount of devices I have on my network at home (which will likely be expanding to ~15 devices).
