"No Signal"

Okay, I have no idea if this is the right section, but here I go:

I built a computer for my friend. We put it together and it worked fine. Next we installed the USB expansion that came with the mobo. He accidentally short circuited the video card putting it in. We got a replacement and worked fine. A couple of weeks later, sound stopped working, so we bought a cheap Sound Blaster. No big deal. Now it worked for about two months and out of no where, a "No Signal" pops up on the LCD. He took it to a local PC repair place. They charged him $80 just to tell him to buy a new mobo. We send in for a replacement, still, same problem. We tested various monitors, and today we tested my RAM on his PC. Still no luck. Any help?

Sounds like to me the following.

1. Psu is dodgy Killing components.
2. Motherboard is getting earthed by the case.

You want to make sure that you have removed all case risers out that are not needed as it can cause the Above issues.

As for the PSU i would just try testing another one in his system.

Please tell us his System specs if possible.

Also Please can you fill out your system specs in the UserCP at the top of this page.
