Asus trying to make even more money.
You would think they would include this with the finished product, makes me lol.

I did notice that the mATX version of the Sabertooth didn't have the signature "armor" it was SUPPOSE to have... rolleyes.gif

Then again I am a ROG Gene guy when it comes to ASUS mATX, so the Gryphon wouldn't be on my radar...

Still you'd be unwise to buy this, might as well get the ATX sabertooth lol.

Since it is mATX it could be possible that they left it because in some towers it might steal place
for other components / coolers.

But yea, i can feel ya... its annoying to call it a TUF product without TUF inside redface.gif

Yeah this is what i mean how is it TUF if it doesnt come with the thermal armour?
I understand but seriously it still about an inch of space rolleyes.gif

TUF refers to the quality of the components inside rather than the thermal armor. The original sabertooth x58 didn't have a thermal armor

Yea.. but since the product evaluation it may let you think this is a feature added to the "TUF" experience.
Its like old ferraris had smaller rims but then they got bigger, but then again they´ ve chosen the smaller
rims and you think what the hell why don´t they leave it like it evolved tongue.gif

Well guys I bought this board (should arrive Monday 10th)
the main reason I chose this over the Sabertooth is the price, its £60 uk cheaper, and the board has all the features I need, not to mention a colour scheme that will match my case well.

have yet to see a price on the armour and if its about £10 I wont mind and may even purchase if I think my rig would look better/cool better with it (the cooling is still out for debate even after sabertooth boards have been out a good while)

Thanks for the headsup, I really should pay more attention smile.gif
thats a steep price for a chunk of plastic with a fan, which to me would just suck in dust, in fact I have just had a vision of Motherboard Carpet (shudders).
