Don't have pci 3.0 will a gtx7xx run ok?

Thread Starter
Was wanting to upgrade my card from a 580. My mobo only has 2.0. Would that effect a new video card? I plan on getting a 780.

You'll be fine mate. There is plenty of juice in 2.0 for a single card. thumb.gif

alot of people mentioning that you will not find noticeable difference. the 2500k @ 4.6ghz (your sig rig) is going to handle GTX 700 series cards just fine. personally i like the extra smoothness of ivy + PCI 3.0 cards but your setup + a 700 series card should be in good hands... good luck with your future purchase biggrin.gif

my brother got one of the superclocked GTX 770s on his first gen i5 system and I am actually stunned how much performance per dollar this thing has...
