Yeah I read the articles too but I didn't experience any negatives of the 30fps lock in game, what did you experience in game that was negative about it?

Graphics are definitely not disappointing on my system, did you play it on the videocard in your profile - the msi 6950?

Played it on a GTX 770 with everything on max (I'll try tomorrow with motion blur off/down as I tend to dislike that) and it just felt slow and sluggish. Not what I want in an arcade racer. The visuals didn't look much better than the last game to me. I only played it for a couple minutes though. I too hate how you have to go through all that at the beginning just to start playing. NFS always seems to need to tell a story and make you race and before you know it, you're 15 min in and still haven't had the opportunity to set your graphics level.
