I have to disagree... milsim fans especially would be all over this(I'm one), if I can ever afford it I will buy it. Average gamers not so much, unless there is widespread support for it(honestly I don't think there will be support beyond simulators for a while though, but that's all I need... I only play ARMA II haha).

I see it being cool and all but once you get bored of it you will go back to you seat. Even having something like a Logitech G27 is a hassle.

Wow the kickstarter already raised over a half an million dollars in a few days. And the goal was only $150,000. This looks to be very popular. I'm interested.

Want.

Oculus Rift + ARAIG + Omni = I will live in Skyrim forever. Just need sword, shield, and archery controllers and I will set up a permanent residence in a cleared out bandit camp.

looks really cool and would be fun for a while. but after the initial fun factor we will all realize as we always do that a controller or keyboard/mouse is always the best setup to win.

Definitely willing to throw the money down on this, but I won't have the cash in my fun account for a couple weeks, it doesn't charge you until funding day, but does anyone know on amazon payments if you can authorize the payment without enough and put in the money before it is deducted, or do they check right when you authorize it? I really don't want them to sell out before I get the cash together

TBH this is the wrong idea in my opinion, a while back I stopped caring about winning, and purely went for fun, as much fun as it is to play with hardcore groups, and be completely serious, nowadays when I take the time to play competitive games, I play with a group of friends I can laugh with, we all mess around, and don't care how good the people we are playing with are. I haven't had more fun playing games in my life.
