GPU wont go into mobo? ( More of a motherboard issue but, nowhere to post )

I have an ASRock pro 3 Z77 mobo and a gigabyte 7850 2gb GPU. I have my gpu happily slotted into the bottom PCI slot (y) however it seems simply impossible to plug it into the top slot. I have tried EVERYTHING! The far right side of the gpu slots in put the rest of the card will not go in. There is nothing blocking it, its like there is a barrier in the slot.

Any help would be great, im probably missing something stupid.

Did you inspect the PCI-E slot itself to see if there is something in it. Could be some fragments of dust or dirt

Yeah, I have looked and it seems fine to me

Is the lock for the gpu slot down? The thing that clicks when you've inserted the GPU and pushed it in far enough.

Did you remove the expansion slots on the case along with the the slots above and below it to make sure nothing is blocking it on that end?

could you post a pic of your setup. Its really difficult to determine what is causing this problem for your unless there is a physical barrier

All is well! I have managed to fix the problem. I looked a little closer and there was the slightest ever bend on the output shield on the graphics card. I took two screw out, it gave it a bit of movement and i was able to put it the correct place biggrin.gif!
