And you probably understood me wrong.
A persona merely changes the background and colors, and to get my specific look on the new firefox.
I'll have to download a theme to make it look like the current one... cool that's easy. Now I want to use my persona, if I get the persona and install it it will remove the theme meaning it will go back to the chrome-ish look but with a different background and color.
So to get my current look on the new FF I'll have to download a theme that looks like the current one, then download the persona, THEN unpack them and replace the background with the persona, THEN repack, and finally install my finished theme.
^ That is certainly not a "1 click of a button" job.
Your choice for trying to combine two themes together. Otherwise it is pretty much one click and a few minutes of looking through the options.
But it still better illustrates that it at least is possible to completely rework the entire UI and that you aren't stuck with what you are given. But the complete skinning is just one good feature, you can do as little ( persona's ) or as much ( full out UI tweak ) as your heart desires. I don't believe Chrome has such skinning ability built into it, I know you basically just have persona's but not full on UI changes ( or at least I haven't seen any personally ). Or let alone many other browsers out there.
Being a *nix user myself since 1998'ish, moulding stuff to work best for me is what I love. Nothing I use or buy ever really comes exactly
the way I want it, there's always some little thing that I want to change and Firefox allows that full control pretty much out of the box. If something isn't there and extension is usually all that needs to be written to add it. I've only ever gone into Firefoxs source a few times to get something I wanted, but even then it wasn't hard ( at least with having that knowledge it wasn't, and a well documented source code ).
I like having options and there's really few things out there these days that give it to you. And if you really want two themes combined to get what you really
want, then you should be glad those options are there for you too. Otherwise you'd be stuck with whatever they give you. A little bit of time is a small price to pay to get exactly what you want with absolutely no compromises.
